Kate Hammond is an award-winning producer and the founder of Softcut.

A producer working in film for 10+ years, Kate was tired of the inequities she experienced on set. She founded Softcut to change that. Prioritizing diversity at every level, Softcut is non-fiction film collective comprised of creatives who are changing the production status quo.

Previously the Executive Producer for Onslot Films, a NYC- based hybrid production company and creative agency, Kate oversaw the company’s projects, operations, and vision, managing relationships with partners, clients, and collaborators.

A Liverpool native – and formerly in the UK music business – Kate calls NYC home. She lives in Brooklyn with her wife, Lauren, and their two incredible daughters.
